Uttar Pradesh: A woman from Pilibhit, UP, filed a complaint against a police constable and his brother for gang-raping her on the false promise of marriage.
According to the police, the woman, a native of Saharanpur district, filed a letter to the superintendent of police stating that the accused cop had promised to marry her after they met. She said that the accused took her to other hotels and proceeded to rape her, causing her to become pregnant twice. According to the woman’s allegation, the accused and his brother raped her at gunpoint.
The woman further claimed that she filed a complaint against the accused person at a police station roughly six months ago. However, on January 25, this year, the accused constable forced her to give the police an affidavit regarding their marriage. According to authorities, he then transported her to Shamli, where his elder brother lives.
Police said a case has been registered in this connection investigation launched.
