Mother dies minutes after hearing about son’s death in Bandipora
Bandipora, Jan 15: Tragedy befell a family of Konan Village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district as mother, son duo dies within a time gape of few minutes.
Locals said a 50-year-old man namely Mohammad Shaban son of Gh Qadir Bhat, a resident of Konan village of Bandipora suffered a massive cardiac arrest on Sunday evening. He was subsequently shifted to DH Bandipora, where the doctors declared him ‘dead on arrival’.
Back home, on hearing the news about the death of her lone son, the mother Bakhti Begum, 80, also suffered a massive cardiac arrest. She was also shifted to DH Bandipora, where she also was declared as ‘dead on arrival’.
A pal of gloom descended on the village as the news about mother and son duo reached the village. Bodies of both –mother and son are being shifted to their home for last rites when this report was being filed
